16 months: Eric Carle Museum

On Friday Daddy got out of work a little early and we headed to the Eric Carle Museum. It's such a beautiful museum and is dedicated not to just Eric Carle's work but other children book illustrators. The funny thing is that this museum is housed at the college where I used to work but we had never gone when I worked there. We went on Friday night because Corduroy was going to be there and you love yourself some Corduroy.

We also got to see my old boss there and her son Sammy who is now 20 months old. I can't believe you two are so big! Anyhoo, I didn't get a photo of the two of you together but I wish I did because you two are the cutest.

In front of one of Carle's paintings which Daddy said he could make himself

They had yummie pizza for Corduroy night and the most beautifully designed high chairs I've seen so far.

Their chocolate chip cookies have little holes in them because the very hungry caterpillar at through them all...so cute!

They have a big art studio for children to make different art pieces.

I made my own art piece. I know it looks like I'm preggers but I'm not. I just have a big pooch for a tummy.

It was scratch art and guess whose name I wrote?

Oh snap there goes Corduroy!

You're not sure about this. They warned us that he might scare young children.

He didn't scare you though...you plowed through all the children to get to him.

Daddy had to control you a bit

Shaking his hand

Playing in the library

You liked the echo in the galleries

Afterwards we saw a short Corduroy movie that was a bit scary and then headed home from Massachusetts.

16 months: Video Post

Some videos of Mister O:

This is what you do every day when we go to the park instead of playing in the actual park

16 months: Picture post

Some recent photos of Mister O:

Eating your 16 month cumplemes cake that Papa Cesar got you

Messy, messy!

Daddy getting his shoes shined at the Big E

Crazy llamas

Cute little baby chicks

Cream puffs!

Daddy trying to win us a prize

The beads you got at the Big E parade

Tio Toti sent you a halloween card that you really liked

This photo is for Titi Lucy

We went to the ER at the Children's Medical Center the other night because you had gone under in the bathtub for a second. This brings our ER count to 3. You were fine but our pediatricians wanted to get your lungs checked out just in case. Here you are after getting your blood pressure checked with the smallest cutest little blood pressure cuff ever.

The whole hospital is like a big playroom. I told Daddy that you probably thought you were at a playgroup or something instead of the hospital.

You love fishies

The examination room...how quickly you make a mess

And how quickly Daddy picks up after you

16 months: System Overload

That's you sitting on the left, with a ball in your hand, watching Little Einsteins (you're not usually this calm)

Hi my little sweetie pie!

I'm so sorry I haven't updated your blog lately my little pumpkin. We've been watching TV very busy and I keep leaving my digital camera in the trunk of the car so I can't upload photos of your cute little self when we get home. Anyhoo, at the moment I'm writing a paper on Structural Adjustment Programs (boo!) in sub-Saharan Africa and I have Kanye West's Love Lockdown on repeat (you love dancing to this song). You, on the other hand, are fast asleep next to Daddy. Have I mentioned that Daddy is the best? He is! He's really stepped up to the plate with Mama in school and more demands at work and he never complains. I'm going to start calling him Father Chester or Saint Chester or something.
Back to work for me but I love you my snookie wookie. See you in a few hours!

15 months: Crazy busy!

We're crazy busy here with Daddy in the middle of recruitment season and Mama starting graduate school a week ago. Busy Busy!

Not too busy to take photos of you though. These are all pretty random but here we go.

We went to visit Daddy during his lunchtime last week

Eating a potato chip

Those pigeons wanted that chip. You have a habit of just holding food in your hands for long periods of time lately. You'll just hold and hold it and not eat it.

Bushnell Park carousel

Mama used to ride this very same carousel when she was little

This was your second time riding it. I don't think you enjoyed it either time

Hanging on to Daddy

Peaceful little O

I had to take you to your pediatrician to get a rash on your leg looked at. Afterwards you and I had a little date at Viva Fresh Pasta in Northampton. It was one of my favorite restaurants when we lived in Noho. That's you attacking our dinner. This was shortly after you had spilled a cup of parmesan cheese on the floor. Dinner was yummie though!

You're not into your yogurt anymore. My wallet is happy but it's so good for you little O, I wish you still liked it.

You're currently addicted to apples, with the skin taken off.

Sneaky baby.

We went to the Touch-a-Truck Festival at Imagine Nation Children's Museum in Bristol last week. Who knew they had touch-a-truck festivals? Not me! Apparently kiddies love touching trucks because the place was packed and kids were going crazy. They had ambulances, fire trucks, semis, military trucks, you name it, they had it. You, however, weren't really into the trucks.

Playing inside

You love water

Going fishing

You're the boy in the bubble

Looking at the kiddies

You're on Sportscenter!

How cute

Daddy doing a puppet show for you

Looking at the kaleidoscope

Drawing or coloring or something

You liked this

Hopping into a truck

And another one

Hopefully you'll never have to be in a truck like this.

On Saturday we got to hang out with your cousins Yasmin & Jalil. I like hanging out with them one, because they're my niece and nephew and they're cute and two, they remind my ovaries that I really can't handle more than one child at this point in time.

O stabbing my meatloaf

We went to the Children's Museum. Here you are pointing out a turtle.

Astronaut O!

Astronaut Yasmin!

Astronaut Jalil!
