Week 34: Lela Carmen!

Guest post from Lela Carmen:

Dear Little O,

The Christmas season is coming to an end, but Papa Cesar and I received a beautiful gift this Christmas, you!!! You see, you moved in, along with your mommie and daddy, a week ago. You have filled our home with joy. I can hardly wait to get back from work to play with you and just see your cute face. You've taken a special liking to Papa Cesar. All he has to do is look at you and you give him your best grin.

Last Sunday, January 1st was your cousin Jalil's birthday. He had a small party with just family. Jalil received some great gifts. He's a very lucky boy to get such nice things. Some children aren't able to receive gifts so we must always be thankful for what we receive.

You received a some toys for Christmas, too. You still seem to really enjoy playing with the blocks that Titi Lisa gave you.

Your daddy started his new job today. I'm sure he'll tell you about it.

Well Little One, I am so happy that mommie, daddy and you are living with us. The house "has to alive!" Oh, by the way, daddy is very helpful. He is always trying to lend a hand.

May God continue to bless all of you greatly.

Much love,
Lela Carmen

Week 34: Sweet pea

Hi little O!

Sorry I haven't written to you for a while. We were busy with the move and then settling in at Papa Cesar & Lela Carmen's house. It's so nice here little O. We're so lucky that they're letting us stay with them for a little bit. Thank you to them!

Your schedule, or lack thereof, has been a bit crazy lately. Some nights you've been up from midnight-9am. Wide awake and wanting to play with us the whole time. Silly O! Things are starting to get better though *knock on wood*. Yay! Remember, Mama needs her sleep. She doesn't function well when she's sleep deprived.

You've been changing so much lately. Just today you started to get on all fours like you're getting ready to crawl. It's so cute. You're moving so much these days by rolling around and stretching.

Things you love at the moment: Playing with the window blinds in our bedroom, playing with a floor lamp in our bedroom, playing with Papa Cesar, and pulling the cord of the ceiling fan in the family room.

Papa Cesar gave you pieces of a clementine today and you loved it. You sucked on it forever. So we can add tangerines to the list of foods you've tried. So far you've had sweet potatoes, bananas, applesauce, rice cereal, mashed potatoes, and rice. That's a lot but you're still breastfeeding 99% of the time. I gotta work on that.

Well sweetie I love you so so much. I hope you have sweet dreams tonight.

Week 33: Settling in nicely

So a week has gone by since we moved in with your Mommy's family and so far things have gone great. I knew before we moved there would be sacrifices we'd be making, but to be honest it seems like everyone else is sacrificing and I feel quite comfortable living with your Mommy's familia. Everyone is doing so much for us that I hope you see the efforts people are making to see what having a family is all about, caring for one another.

The move wasn't that bad. It was hard packing everything up but unloading everything with the help of Papa Cesar and Titi Jomaira made things so much easier. It also was quite handy that we got storage where we dropped off the truck and I've been slowly trying to empty what we have in storage little by little to have it completely empty in another three weeks. The great thing about the storage is first off that it was free and secondly that it's real close to our new home O.

Oh and I started my new job! It was a rough first day, they had every minute of my day planned but I think I'm really going to like my job and am real happy with it.

Right now I'm putting you to sleep while your Mommy gets some food at the supermarket. We make such a great team your Mommy and I. The last two nights is a perfect example of our good teamwork. You woke up real late both nights and were up until six am! We took turns staying uo with you to play with a wide awake Octavio. Oh how can I forget to mention I think you are stretching out a bit, which is good because it might make it easier to hold you!

Anyhow, got to run but chat more soon. Hope you like it in your new home, I know everybody loves having you live here.

Love,

Pa
