Week 26: Lela Carmen!

Guest Post from Lela Carmen:

Hello baby boy!

Yesterday, November 12th was your 26th week and you will turn 6 months on the 14th. We have a lot to celebrate!

On Sunday we went to your Titi Tatiana's Baby Shower. She looked so cute and happy with Raul by her side. The shower was so nicely organized by your Titi Lucy with the help of the rest of the Fernandez family.

You Mister O, were quite a crowd pleaser. Everyone wanted to carry and hug you. I can't blame them. You are so adorable.

My mother, your great-grandmother Teresa, was at the shower, too. She wasn't feeling well, but is feeling a little better now. I was sadden to know that Abuelito Jorgensen isn't feeling well. He is always a spark of joy, but has been going through some rough days lately.

Even your mommie is sick with an ear infection. When the weather changes a lot of people tend to get sick. Let's pray they will be feeling better real soon.

Well Octavio may God continue to bless you and those that love you.

Much love,
Lela Carmen

Week 25: I miss you O

Today I went from 9am to 10pm without seeing you, well awake that is. It was pretty tough! I hope you know how much I love and miss you while I'm at work. You and your Mommy! I'm starting to get sick I think, my throat is hurting and just don't feel great of late. I hope I don't get sick because I can't miss any more work and want to be able to take good care of you and it's harder when I'm not 100%.

I know it's been a while since I wrote but this doesn't mean I haven't wanted to. Looking back at old pictures and video of you from a few short months ago, it's hard to believe how little you were. And how quiet you were too! It's so amazing to watch you grow before my eyes and I truly feel lucky to have such a wonderful son. I wonder what you'll be like when you get a little older, and can walk or talk? I can't wait, but at the same time I want you to stay little! I don't know what I want I guess.

Well, hope you are doing well and know how much I love you. Take care O.

Week 25: Big O

Hi sweet pea! :)

You are too cute. I love looking at you. In the morning when I wake up I usually look at you for a few minutes. It’s one of my favorite parts of the day.

So what’s new…

I had a weird thing happen to me yesterday. I was driving you to school yesterday morning and I looked back in my rearview mirror and saw you but you weren’t a baby you were a college aged kid. You were Octavio but all grown up and home from college. It was so weird! It made me so happy. I can’t believe you’ll be 18 one day (God willing). That’s amazing. I wonder what you’ll be like.

Anyhoo, in other news your cheeks are all dry, rough and red. The doctor said it was because of the cold weather, wind and indoor heat and suggested that we use Dove soap instead of baby soap and to put lotion on your cheeks. I don’t want to use lotion but I’m going to go get you some Dove. My poor fluffies!

You only have a half day at the children’s center on Wednesdays but I hadn’t finished all my work today so I took you back to my office and got some work done. You did such a good job. Thank you little O! Soon we won’t have to do this. I love you!
